You know that feeling of annoyance and dread when the dog whines to go out at way too early still dark thirty and you ignore him until the fear of his having an accident overtakes the warmth of bed and so you get up and go out in the yard in your robe and slippers mumbling curses at the stupid dog who you suspect doesn’t really have to go that bad and then there she is, the full silver morning moon hanging right outside your door like she was waiting for you. Egyptian blue sky, stars fading but there she is suspended in her gravity defying shimmering glory almost pulsing with light so bright her craters are visible and you forget to be mad at the dog forget the cold forget that you also have to pee.
