I don’t know who created this diagram, but it explained my life to me in one picture.

At this point, my story meanders through the maze of how my experiences shaped my choices and how I corrected course.  Because it involves my children and former spouse and current life, I am not going to publish those details in my blog.  The story comes full circle in the end, complete with a true love happy ending.

Many of you have encouraged me to put my story into book form, and I will.  Having never written a book before, I have no idea how long that will take, but I am anxious to get started.  Thank you for your encouragement and support.  For those of you who have held your tongue, thanks for that, too.

  1. Love everything you’ve written and can’t wait for a complete book. You have a distinct and powerful voice. I grew up Oneness Pentecostal in Louisiana in the 70s. It was easier for me, being male. One reason I left UPC in my early twenties is because I knew I could never subject a wife and daughters to the insanity. I can relate to so much of what you’ve written, and knew a lot of the people in Jackson you mention. I don’t remember your dad – just the more famous closeted individual at JCM! Glad you are free and strong.

  2. This has been a very instructive and interesting series of post. I still wrestle with many similar circumstances and am trying to find my way. Whatever conclusions one comes to, it is tragic to mindlessly embrace whatever you are told and not wrestle with the great questions of the human situation. You have obviously thought deeply about how our common background has formulated your own worldview and have truly lived the examined life. Best wishes in your endeavor to publish this fine work; I would very much like to buy it when it is completed. Peace
